Revised Cancellation Policies

 

In light of the recent outbreak of Covid-19, many cruise lines have relaxed their cancellation policies to provide guests with more time to make an informed decision about their future travels. These changes should help to alleviate some of the concerns guests may have so that they can feel confident in any plans that they have regarding current or future cruises.

In order to help you find the most current information from the cruise line you have booked we have listed below the details for all of the major cruise lines who have made changes to their normal cancellation policies.

 

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF AMA WATERWAYS CRUISES FROM MARCH 13 – APRIL 25, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

1. FUTURE CRUISE CREDIT:
We are offering you a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) equal to 115% of the value of your AmaWaterways purchased services, redeemable on any Europe or Mekong River sailing through December 31, 2022.

2. FULL MONETARY REFUND:
If you prefer, you may elect to instead receive a full monetary refund on all services purchased through AmaWaterways. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your river cruise cancellation, future cruise credit or refund, please contact your travel advisor as we are in direct communication with them regarding current developments on our policies. If you choose to contact us directly, please note we are experiencing a higher than normal call volume, as expected.

*Bookings made on suspended sailings will automatically be cancelled. We will be contacting all guests to advise the details of the refund/ reimbursement options once we receive them from the cruise line.

 

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

TRAVEL WAIVER PLUS

In light of the recent global events and uncertainties around travel, we wish to offer our guests additional flexibility and peace of mind so they may continue to safeguard the wonderful plans they have made for their much anticipated river cruise with AmaWaterways. As a result, we will offer for a limited time, special provisions which allow guests with new or existing reservations to purchase AmaWaterways Travel Waiver Plus* which provides cancellation for any reason with a future cruise credit covering cancellation penalties for services purchased through AmaWaterways. Effective immediately, guests wishing to add Travel Waiver Plus are no longer required to purchase AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan.

TRAVEL WAIVER PLUS MAY NOW BE PURCHASED:

  • For all new reservations - at the time of booking or until final payment
  • For any existing reservations paid in full - up until March 15th, 2020

TRAVEL WAIVER PLUS PRICE:

  • $80 per person if purchased at the same time as AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan
  • $175 per person if purchased without AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan

*AmaWaterways Travel Waiver Plus allows you to cancel your vacation for any reason and you will receive a future cruise credit valid for 24 months from the day your cancellation was received. Waivers under the Travel Waiver Plus Program provided by AmaWaterways will only cover cancellation penalties for services purchased through AmaWaterways. Travel Waiver Plus is not available for Africa Safaris and Wildlife Cruises. This program does not include any additional benefits. Cruise With Comfort Offer

Guests with existing & new bookings for cruises departing March 9 - June 30, 2020 may cancel for any reason up to 24 hours prior to start of Cruise Package & receive Cruise Vouchers equal to 100% of amounts paid. Opting for this offer supersedes the cancellation terms that would have otherwise applied whether standard cancellation terms or the terms of their Cancel For Any Reason Protection Plan. These Cruise Vouchers have no cash value, are non-transferrable & must be used for travel within 12 months from date of issue.

NOTES: * "Amounts Paid" means the cash, check or credit card amounts actually paid for cruise package, including any deposits made to reserve cruise pkg. Cruise credits, certificates, vouchers or discounts are not Amounts Paid as defined herein.

* Start of Cruise Package = the scheduled start of travel arrangements purchased from American Cruise Lines (cruise/hotel/ground or air transportation, and/or tour)

With the uncertainty felt among many travelers over the effects of the spread of Coronavirus, Avalon Waterways is responding with a policy to enable travelers to adjust travel plans and help alleviate immediate concerns.

At this time, all of their river cruises are operating as scheduled with the exception of mainland China. For all other destinations, Avalon Waterways introduced a temporary policy update for 2020 travel as follows until further notice:

  • For travelers with existing bookings and for new bookings, deposits on future Avalon Waterways vacations can be moved to any other brand (Globus, Cosmos, Monograms or Avalon Waterways), destination or itinerary in 2020 or 2021 without penalty* prior to final payment.
  • Also Avalon Waterways is temporarily waiving cancellation penalties** until 3 days prior to any Europe departure.

With the safety, security and peace-of-mind of travelers as our primary goal, we believe in giving them more time and flexibility with their travel decisions. Traveling the world is a joyful experience and we want to do our part to keep the anticipation stress-free.

**Cancellation penalties refer to applicable cancellation fees within final payment, returned in the form of a Letter of Credit. Deposits remain non-refundable. Cancellation fee waiver applies to all Globus family of brands vacations with the exceptions of those that include Oberammergau performances or anything that includes specific payment conditions, such as non-Avalon Waterways operated cruises, rail package inclusions and certain destinations.

Azamara Cruises has introduced a new, temporary change to our cancellation policy that gives guests the flexibility to make the best choice for their upcoming cruise. All guests who are currently booked on sailings on or before July 31, 2020 can now cancel their reservation up to 48 hours to departure with our Azamara Cruises’ new Cruise with Confidence policy.

If client cancels outside of final payment, they’ll receive a full refund of all amounts.

After final payment, if guests cancel up to 48 hours before their sailing they will receive a future cruise credit for any funds held in penalty to use on a cruise sailing before December 31st, 2021.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CARNIVAL CRUISE SAILINGS FROM MARCH 14 – APRIL 9, 2020

Carnival Refund Options for Suspended Sailings

Please contact us to let us know which option you prefer. You have until December 31, 2020 to make a selection or you will automatically receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit. Whichever option you select, it will apply to all guests on the reservation.

Regardless of the option you select, your taxes, fees and port expenses, Carnival Vacation Protection, pre-paid gratuities, pre-purchased Carnival shore excursions, beverage and Wi-Fi packages, and Fun Shop purchases will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment.

 

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Carnival has updated their cancellation policy for vacations booked from March 6, 2020 to May 31, 2020.

Guests who choose to keep their booking as currently scheduled for departures between March 6, 2020 and May 31, 2020, they will receive the following Onboard Credit (OBC) amounts:

  • $100 per cabin for 3 and 4 day cruises
  • $150 per cabin for 5 day cruises
  • $200 per cabin for 6 day and longer cruises

If guests choose to continue to sail with Carnival. The onboard credit will automatically be applied to your onboard account. There is no need to call us to have this applied.

  • For guests booked on Carnival Radiance European itineraries, Carnival is finalizing some itinerary changes and a special offer that will be shared in the next few days.
  • For guests who booked prior to March 6, 2020:
    • If guests decide to change vacation plans, Carnival will allow those booked on sailings between now and May 31, 2020 to move their booking to a new date and receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) in the amount of the non-refundable cancellation fee.
  • Guests booked on sailings departing between March 9, 2020 and March 31, 2020 can move their booking to a future date up to 3 days before sailing.
  • Guests booked on sailings departing between April 1, 2020 and May 31, 2020 can move their booking to a future date by March 31, 2020.
  • The Future Cruise Credit must be used for a sailing by March 31, 2021.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE SAILINGS FROM MARCH 13 – APRIL 13, 2020

Cruise with Confidence Cancellation Program

Cancel at any time, up to 48 hours before your sailing and you'll get 100% of your cancellation penalty as a Future Cruise Credit.

Your cruise is covered by Celebrity Cruises' new Cruise with Confidence cancellation program. That means that you can cancel at any time up to 48 hours before your sailing, for sailings departing up until 7/31/2020, and you'll get 100% of your cancellation penalty as a Future Cruise Credit.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CELESTYAL CRUISES FROM MARCH 13 – MAY 1, 2020

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF COSTA CRUISES FROM MARCH 13 – APRIL 4, 2020

In response to the Coronavirus Costa Cruises has revised their cancellation policies on the following select cruise departures:

  • Applicable departures: Sailings embarking, disembarking, or calling on Italian ports and booked prior to March 2, 2020.
  • Guests booked on the above sailings can select from the options below. Cancellation options valid from March 3, 2020 to March 31, 2020.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CRYSTAL CRUISES FROM MARCH 26 – APRIL 11, 2020

  • Crystal River Cruises’ voyages scheduled to embark from March 26 to April 11
  • Crystal Esprit’s April 10 sailing
  • It does not impact Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ALL NEW DISNEY CRUISES FROM MARCH 14 – MAR 31, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Disney Cruise Line will offer guests affected by this decision a future cruise credit or a full refund, the details of which will be provided directly to them.
UPDATE: Given the short notice, guests are booked on the Saturday, March 14, 2020 departures on the Disney Magic and Disney Fantasy, will have the choice of a 150% cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date, or a full refund. If a future cruise credit is selected and you are not able to use it, you will be eligible for a refund up to the amount paid in full. Standard prevailing rates will apply for any future cruises booked.

*Bookings made on suspended sailings will automatically be cancelled. We will be contacting all guests to determine the preferred reimbursement option.


REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Please note that given the current situation, Disney Cruise Line is offering temporary adjustments to its cancellation policy to provide more flexibility for its guests. Guests currently booked on European cruises through a July 25, 2020 departure date can change their reservation up until the day before the guests' embarkation and the guests will receive a 100% cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date. The credit is non-refundable and standard prevailing rates will apply.

Alternatively, guests currently booked on the July 13, July 18 and July 25 European sailings in 2020 may delay their final payment to 30 days prior to the sailing.

Disney Magic sailings through May 8, 2020, and Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder Sailings through May 31, 2020

  • All Guests scheduled to depart on the Disney Magic between now and May 8, 2020, and the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder between now and May 31, 2020, can change their reservation up until the day before embarkation and receive a 100% cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 12 months of their original sail date. The credit is non-refundable and standard prevailing rates will apply.

Emerald Waterways has announced a new cancellation policy which will take effect immediately.

The policy provides all currently booked guests with a departure on or after June 1, 2020, and guests considering a booking after that date, the option to transfer their booking to an alternate departure without penalty*, up to 30 days prior to departure.

This allows guests more time to make decisions about future travel plans. This policy will apply to all brands with the Scenic Group: Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Emerald Cruises, Scenic Eclipse, Evergreen Cruises & Tours and Mayflower Cruises & Tours.

Some governments have implemented wider restrictions that limit the arrival of travellers who have travelled from/visited or transited through countries beyond those currently within the Scenic Group policy as outlined above.

We recommend that you check the current travel policy of your final destination with local government authorities within your region for further details.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF HOLLAND AMERICA SAILINGS FROM MARCH 14 – APRIL 14, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

  • Option 1: Receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit & $250 Onboard Credit. The Future Cruise Credit will be equal to 125% of the base cruise fare paid to and retained by Holland America Line. All non-cruise fare purchases through Holland America Line will be refunded via the method of payment used to purchase the services.
  • Option 2: Receive a 100% refund of all monies paid to Holland America Line. Your refund will be processed automatically via the method of payment used to pay for your cruise.

Please contact us to let us know which option you prefer. You have until April 1, 2020 to make a selection or you will automatically be receive a refund. Whichever option you select, it will apply to all guests on the reservation.

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Holland America has updated its cancellation policies for bookings made between March 2, 2020 and April 30, 2020, for cruises sailing between April 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Now, you can book your 2020 cruise with confidence, cancel for any reason and receive a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of your deposit and any cancellation fees. This policy is applicable on all 2020 sailings booked in March or April and vacation must be cancelled up to 30 days prior to sailing.

The future cruise credit must be redeemed on a cruise that sails within 12 months. Value of cancellation fee and this offer is non-transferrable, is not redeemable for cash, and has no cash value. Cannot be combined with any other offers. Offer may be modified or withdrawn without prior notice. Any promotion available during or with your original booking shall not apply to the subsequent booking.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF MSC CRUISES FROM MIAMI TO THE CARIBBEAN WITH DEPARTURES FROM MARCH 14 – APRIL 30, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Option 1: 125% Future Cruise Credit
For all guests impacted by the cancelled Caribbean sailings we are offering a Future Cruise Credit for 125% of the original cruise fare paid. The future cruise credit can be used on any sailing departing before December 31, 2021. Any applicable pre-paid items and government taxes will be refunded to the original form of payment. For clients that do not use the 125% future cruise credit by December 31, 2021, MSC Cruises will automatically provide a full refund equal to the original amount paid.

Option 2: Refund
While we hope you choose to reschedule your cruise for a future date, we understand this may not be the ideal option for everyone. Should you choose not to take the future cruise credit, please let us know and we will request a refund equal to the original amount paid.

 

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Cruise Assurance Program

MSC Cruise's Cruise Assurance Program (temporary guest cancellation policy) is available to residents of the US. Guests sailing on or before July 31, 2020 can reschedule reservation up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive a Future Cruise Certificate for 100% of original cruise fare paid. Government taxes and fees & any applicable pre-paid items are refunded to original form of payment. After final payment, and only if they choose to reschedule cruise, they can participate in the Cruise Assurance program. For guests not wishing to participate in the MSC Cruise Assurance Program the normal payment & cancellation policies will apply to their reservation. If final payment hasn't been made then the standard payment & cancellation policies apply. Guests can apply their Future Cruise Certificate to any MSC cruise of their choice departing on or before December 31, 2021. Future Cruise Certificates are non-refundable and non-transferable.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE SAILINGS FROM MARCH 13 – APRIL 11, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Norwegian Cruise Line has made temporary changes to their standard cancellation policy. This supersedes all previously announced changes and standard deposit and final payment schedules now apply. As this is a fluid situation, any amendments or reversals of these policies will be communicated to you as they occur.

For all new and existing individual and group bookings that embark from March 10, 2020 through and including September 30, 2020:

  • Guests can cancel up until 48 hours prior to vacation start date. Cancelled reservations that occur prior to 48 hours to vacation date will receive a 100% future cruise credit (FCC) to be used for ANY Norwegian sailing embarking on or before December 31, 2022.
    • Vacation start date includes any pre-hotel or Cruisetour packages booked through Norwegian.
    • FCC will include all components of the reservation that have been paid, including but not limited to: shore excursions, beverage and dining packages (including associated gratuities), service charges and air or transfers pre purchased through Norwegian.
      • Note any insurance purchased on existing bookings will not be included in the FCC amount.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF OCEANIA CRUISES FROM MARCH 13 – APRIL 11, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Firstly, Oceania Cruises has decided to replace the Italian ports on the April and May voyages listed below in an abundance of caution and for the health and well-being of our guests and crew.

  • Riviera - March 31, 2020
  • Riviera - April 19, 2020
  • Riviera - April 29, 2020
  • Riviera - May 9, 2020
  • Sirena - April 25, 2020
  • Sirena - May 5, 2020

Communications are being sent to all guests. All guests who choose to sail will receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to 25% of the cruise fare paid. If guests choose to cancel, refunds will not apply yet they will receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid. Complete details are outlined in the individual communications.

TRAVELERS ASSURANCE PROGRAM
Secondly, Oceania is introducing a new Travelers Assurance Program. Guests can now have total peace of mind knowing that should they need to cancel, for any reason, they will not lose a dollar. Guests may cancel up to 48 hours prior to cruise departure and will receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid.

NO PENALTY CANCELLATIONS: APPLICABILITY AND CONDITIONS

  • Cancel for any reason up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive a Future Cruise Credit equal to 100% of the cruise fare paid.
  • Valid for all existing reservations for voyages departing from March 10, 2020 through September 30, 2020.
  • Valid for all new reservations through April 30th for voyages departing from March 10, 2020 through September 30, 2020.
  • Future Cruise Credit must be redeemed within one year of issue and travel must commence by December 31, 2022.

BEST PRICE GUARANTEE
Additionally, guests and travel advisors can book with confidence knowing that up to day of sailing, should there be another applicable public promotion that offers a better value through amenities or price, they may take advantage of that promotional offer and/or price as long as the same category of accommodations is available and that promotion is still open for sale. If there is a better promotion or price after you've made your final payment, we will provide your clients with an upgrade, shipboard credit, or future cruise credit.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ALL PRINCESS CRUISES FROM MARCH 12 – MAY 11, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

For clients who have bookings that were set to sail through May 10th, Princess is offering two refund

In response to the Coronavirus Princess Cruises has made some temporary changes to their cancellation policy to their cruises departing up to May 31, 2020. Additionally, they have changed the final payment dates on cruises sailing June 1 through June 30, 2020.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES FROM MARCH 13 – APRIL 11, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Regent Reassurance

Effective immediately, Regent Seven Seas Cruises® is providing clients greater confidence with Regent Reassurance. For all voyages beginning March 10, 2020, through September 30, 2020, guests who have paid in full now have the option to cancel up to 48 hours prior to sailing, and receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit, which can be applied to a new booking within one year on any Regent voyage that embarks between now and December 31, 2022.

Regent Reassurance applies to all bookings under final payment made by April 30, 2020, on all Regent voyages departing from March 10, 2020, through September 30, 2020.

In addition, Regent Seven Seas Cruises are modifying seven itineraries in April and May that previously included calls to Italian ports. Clients who choose to continue sailing the modified itineraries will receive a 25% Future Cruise Credit. Or they may cancel under the terms of Regent Reassurance. Clients sailing on these impacted voyages will receive individual communications advising of the modified itineraries. The impacted voyages are:

  • Seven Seas Splendor™: April 30th, May 12th and May 21st
  • Seven Seas Mariner®: April 8th and April 29th
  • Seven Seas Voyager®: April 16th and May 11th

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE SAILINGS FROM MARCH 13 – APRIL 13, 2020

REFUND OPTIONS FOR SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

Guests booked on the effected sailings will automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit which will be valid on sailings through December 31, 2021.

  • This amount of the Future Cruise Credit will be based on your total cruise fare paid.
  • The Future Cruise Credit will automatically be issued by Monday, April 13th, 2020 via email. So, there’s nothing for you to do!
  • If you pre-purchased any amenities and packages – like internet, beverage, dining, or RoyalUp Upgrade, those will be automatically refunded.

If you prefer the lower value in a full refund of what you paid, we’re happy to process this for you. Scenic Cruises has announced a new cancellation policy which will take effect immediately.

The policy provides all currently booked guests with a departure on or after June 1, 2020, and guests considering a booking after that date, the option to transfer their booking to an alternate departure without penalty*, up to 30 days prior to departure.

This allows guests more time to make decisions about future travel plans. This policy will apply to all brands with the Scenic Group: Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Emerald Cruises, Scenic Eclipse, Evergreen Cruises & Tours and Mayflower Cruises & Tours.

Some governments have implemented wider restrictions that limit the arrival of travellers who have travelled from/visited or transited through countries beyond those currently within the Scenic Group policy as outlined above.

We recommend that you check the current travel policy of your final destination with local government authorities within your region for further details.

For existing bookings and new bookings made now through April 30th 2020, for sailings departing between April 1st 2020 and October 15th 2020 guests will be able to cancel up to 30 days prior to sailing and receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit of any monies paid to Seabourn and currently within cancellation fees. The Future Cruise Credit must be booked within 90 days for any published voyage(s) departing prior to December 31st 2021.

The Book with Confidence offer ("Offer") is available on existing bookings and new bookings made between March 2, 2020 and April 30, 2020, for Seabourn cruises sailing between April 1, 2020 and October 15, 2020 ("Eligible Cruise"). Eligible Cruise's departure date must be at least 30 days after the date of booking in order to qualify for the Offer. If a consumer cancels their Eligible Cruise at least 30 days before the Eligible Cruise's departure, the consumer will receive a Future Cruise Credit ("FCC") equal to the amount of the non-refundable portion of their deposit and cancellation fee (subject to verification). The value of the FCC will be determined by the actual non-refundable portion of the deposit and cancellation fees for the Eligible Cruise's booking, and SeabournShield reimbursed amounts or fees shall not be included in the value of the FCC. Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing. Consumer must use the FCC towards a future Seabourn cruise booking(s). Consumer must use the FCC within 90 days from its issuance date or it will be forfeited in its entirety. FCC is only valid on cruises sailing in 2020 and 2021. Within 90 days of receiving the FCC in his/her account, the consumer must use the FCC to book a cruise(s); such cruise does not need to sail within the 90 day window. FCC may be subject to additional terms and conditions as provided by Seabourn and may not be used for deposits, TF&PE, or SeabournShield. The value of the FCC and the Offer are non-transferrable, are not redeemable for cash, and have no cash value. May not be combined with any other offers. Offer may be modified or withdrawn without prior notice. Any promotion or offer available during or with the Eligible Cruise booking shall not apply to the subsequent booking. For clients with existing 2020 Uniworld or U bookings departing on or after May 1st, or for those considering a 2020 Uniworld or U cruise, Uniworld Cruises has changed the terms of their cancellation policy to give guests more time to make decisions about their future travel plans without worrying about increasing penalties. Effective immediately for 2020 Uniworld and U cruises/cruise-tours departing May 1st or later, guests will have the option at 30 days prior to departure to cancel their cruise/cruise-tour at the 120+ day cancellation rate of only $200 per person.

  • Valid only for 2020 bookings departing May 1 or later, new and existing.
  • Cruise/cruise-tour bookings cancelled at 30 days prior to departure will only be subject to a $200 per person cancellation fee. Cancellations occurring more or less than 30 days prior to departure will be subject to Uniworld's standard cancellation policy.
  • Applies to the cruise/cruise-tour portion of trip only, airfare will be subject to cancellation fees if ticketed.
  • For airfare booked through Uniworld, airfare fees will be waived if not yet ticketed or a $450 fee will apply if ticket was already issued at time of cancellation.
  • Travel Protection Program fees are non-refundable.

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

In view of the coronavirus situation Viking Cruises has temporarily changed their cancellation policy so that guests can be free to postpone their cruise at any time up until 24 hours before the planned departure, without incurring any cancellation fees. After cancelling your cruise a voucher will be issued for future travel valid for 24 months, which can be used on any Viking product (river, ocean or expedition). This temporary exception to their standard cancellation policy is applicable for all guests who currently have a reservation with Viking and for all new reservations made through April 30, 2020.

The temporary exception to the cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Notification of your intent to postpone your current cruise must be received as follows:
    • If you have flights arranged by Viking, it must be received at least 24 hours prior to the time of your flight's departure.
    • If you have arranged your own flights, it must be received at least 24 hours prior to the time of embarkation of the cruise or your hotel check-in, whichever is first.
  • Cancelled reservations will be reimbursed in the form of a Future Cruise Voucher in the amount of 100% of all funds paid to Viking.
  • Future Cruise Vouchers may be used toward any future river, ocean or expedition cruise with Viking and will be valid for 24 months from issuance.

Travel Assurance Booking Policy

Windstar's new Travel Assurance Booking Policy is an extra effort to ensure travelers feel comfortable booking a well-deserved cruise vacation now without fearing loss should they need to cancel.

Windstar's interim Travel Assurance Booking Policy is effective immediately and automatically applies to new and existing cruises departing through December 31, 2021.

Travelers who cancel a cruise booking up to 15 days prior to departure will receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit to be used on another Windstar departure within one year of the issue date of the credit. The offer is good for cruise fare only.

EFFECTIVE AS OF MARCH 4, 2020: For sailings departing through December 31, 2021, all cruise cancelation fees collected before 14 days prior to initial departure will receive a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of the cancelation fees collected excluding fees collected for air transportation and hotels. The Future Cruise Credit, can be applied to any future cruise booking departing within a year of your cancellation date. Future Cruise Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. Windstar reserves the right to modify or terminate this policy at any time for bookings not yet made.

REFUND OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS OF NON-SUSPENDED SAILINGS:

In support of our Sailors, Virgin have two offers available to Sailors affected by our launch postponement.

  • The first offer includes a 200% in Future Voyage Credit which your Sailor can apply to another sailing, rather than a refund. That’s double the value of their existing voyage fare.
  • And because we wanted to sweeten things even more, they can also receive up to $500 in onboard credit,* if they book before June 30, 2020.
  • Of course, if your Sailor prefers, we will fully refund any amounts paid, and provide a Future Voyage Credit equal to 25% of the paid voyage fare to be used on a future sailing.
